Kathy Rothfus, Director of Children and Youth Ministries

Kathy joined the staff at First Christian Church in October of 2011. Her outgoing personality brings a new excitment to the children and youth programs at FCC! Kathy enjoys looking for sea shells, reading, and loves finding the positive in every situation. She loves Hershey Kisses and homemade bread!

Before moving to Oskaloosa Kathy lived in Indianola although her roots are located in the east coast. She was raised in Boston, Massachusetts and much of her family still lives in New England. Now a true mid-westerner, Kathy is happy to call Oskaloosa home.

Since her son was born she has enjoyed staying at home while being an active volunteer in the community. Being a member of the Oskaloosa Library board, volunteering at Crisis Intervention Services, United Way, and at the Oskaloosa elementary School keep her busy.  Kathy says, “The opportunity to serve God this way is beyond thrilling. I absolutely can’t wait to see what He has in store for the children and youth of FCC!!”
