Pastor Andrea Brownlee, Associate Pastor
Andrea Brownlee was born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of a minister and her family moved around several times before making Moundsville, West Virginia their home. In 2004 she earned her Bachelors of Art in Religious Studies from Mount Union College; Alliance, Ohio and in 2007 earned her Master of Divinity from Lexington Theological Seminary; Lexington, Kentucky. Andrea was ordained into Christian ministry through the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) June 30, 2010.
In her free time she enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, cooking, being in nature, playing piano, and singing. Andrea has a dog named Bartholomew, who loves spending time on the walking trail in Oskaloosa! She has been bungee jumping in New Zealand and plans to go back some day and do it again!
She joined the ministerial staff of First Christian Church, Oskaloosa in August of 2010 with energy and excitement!  Andrea realizes that her faith journey is one that is on going and ever changing and like many others; she often struggles with making faith and life connect. In this busy and chaotic world, she feels God calling her to help others find the balance where faith and life exists in harmony! Part of Andrea’s task at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is to develop new ministries to reach individuals and families with hectic schedules and very little “down time”.  New events and opportunities are developing that compliment many of the existing opportunities at First Christian Church and Pastor Andrea hopes you will come check us out and grow in your faith! We want to journey along side you, helping you grow, strengthen, and actively use your faith everyday!
